UNDERSTANDING SEO

SEO it means Search Engine Optimization. It is how Google search engines find and catalog your website when someone is searching for you.

There are two types of websites.

1. First type are websites that my clients want to be just a glorified brochure.
2. Second type are websites that want to be found via Google on the web to bring business in.

First type requires the least amount of effort.

Second type required a lot of effort. I will BRIEFLY explain the second one. Note: I normally spend up to 1 hour educating my client on this routine.

The owner of the company (or manager) knows best their company's product, mission, technical terms and best ways to discuss it more than anyone else. A web designer does not! Example... Imagine if you hire an architect to plan and build your building for your business and then they furnish it with what it needs. The architect makes the building attractive and appealing. But the architect DOES NOT market your company. You would NOT trust the architect to manage your actual business. So think of the web designer as your architect and you are, of course, the one that must manage your company!

Turning your business over to people to handle your SEO may be possible. However, seriously ask yourself, does someone else know how to present you properly better than you?  As good as you know how?
